Class #: 12580 Section: M280 # Credits: 3
Student writers investigate and design writing processes and practice an array of informal writing strategies that strengthen learning and composing. They sharpen their critical edges as readers, writers, and thinkers. The studio classroom forms an active intellectual community collaboratively pursuing a common topic of inquiry by unraveling complex texts, arguing relevant issues, and researching key problems. Born out of this work is students’ keen sense of themselves as developing writers within the University, writers who are skilled at assessing and revising their writing both in and outside the studio classroom. Academic credit is given for either WRT 105 or WRT 109, but not both.
